Milla Jovovich Blasts Studio Over Insufficient 'Three Musketeers' Publicity [UPDATE]
UPDATE: Summit Entertainment taken care of immediately Milla Jovovich's complaints via Deadline. "She does not understand what she's speaking about and that we have no idea where she's originating from. [...] Wouldn't you believe she'd give us a call first relating to this? It's frustrating. It isn't the proper way to behave. If she's an issue then arrived at the studio and discuss it." EARLIER: Milla Jovovich required to Twitter today to slam Summit Entertainment over its insufficient promotion on her new film 'The Three Musketeers.' "Are 'Summit' marketing it as being a household adventure movie? Or could they be sitting on their laurels from 'Twilight' [and] making without trying? Tell me!Inch the actress tweeted Friday, your day 'Musketeers' opened up countrywide. She accused the studio of sweeping the film underneath the rug within the U.S. and added, "Shame in it. SHAME You SUMMIT." Jovovich plays the villainous Milady p Winter, who -- within this update from the classic adventure tale -- wields a sword together with the Musketeers. The film was helmed by her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, who also directed her in three 'Resident Evil' films. Summit's most popular rentals are, obviously, the 'Twilight' franchise, which hardly needs more promotion at this time. The studio acquired 'Musketeers' for U.S. distribution but wasn't involved with production, as they've been using the 'Twilight' films and 'The Hurt Locker.' Jovovich was apparently on the way to Japan, where 'The Three Musketeers' will open the Tokyo, japan Worldwide Film Festival. "Do you consider ppl know of the movie?" she tweeted. Guess they are doing now, Milla. [via THR] [Photo: Summit] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook RELATED
